Tramecia became executive director of Swords to Plowshares in 2024, after 14 years of rising through nearly every level of the organization she now leads. She joined Swords in 2010 as a frontline counselor at the organization's transitional housing site on Treasure Island, and went on to direct residential programs, oversee the expansion of permanent supportive housing for veterans living with disability, and serve as chief operating officer and housing director before stepping into the top role. Beyond Swords, Tramecia is a driving force in veteran advocacy at the local and national level. She previously served on the VA Advisory Committee on Homeless Veterans and currently sits on the Boards of Directors for One Treasure Island and the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans. Tramecia holds an M.S. in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University and is a licensed professional clinical counselor in California. She lives in San Joaquin City with her husband, a U.S. Army combat veteran, and their three children.
