Deputy Director of Residential Programs and Housing Development

In his role at Swords to Plowshares, Steve oversees residential services at all six supportive housing sites, which house 500 formerly homeless veterans. He also oversees housing development projects, working collaboratively with the VA and Continuums of Care. Previously, he held the role of associate director for programs and operations where he oversaw Swords' housing services program known as Supportive Services for Veteran Families, Drop-in Center, and Employment & Training program. Prior to Swords, Steve was the director of veterans and housing programs at Impact Services Corporation in Philadelphia. In 2015, Steve and many partners effectively ended veteran homelessness in Philadelphia according to the standards of the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH). Steve received a bachelor's degree in religious studies from Brown University and a master's degree in city planning from the University of Pennsylvania. Steve lived in West Philadelphia for 31 years and now resides in Pacifica.
