In his role at Swords to Plowshares, Mark provides leadership in developing programmatic, organizational, and financial plans while also enhancing the agency's presence and operations in the East Bay. Programs under his supervision include outreach, emergency housing, homeless prevention and housing placement, and employment and training services. Mark has extensive experience implementing and managing programs for U.S. veterans. Prior to Swords, Mark served as deputy director of The American Legion's National Employment & Education Division at their Washington, D.C. office. He leveraged strategic partnerships across government and private sector to strengthen collaboration on resolving gaps in services for veterans. Mark served six years in the U.S. Air Force and holds a master's degree in organizational leadership from the University of Saint Francis. He resides in Oakland with his wife.
