In his role at Swords to Plowshares, Jacob leads clinical services and supervises clinical staff across the agency's programs. He returns to Swords after several years in the organization, including as Clinical Director and harm-reduction residential program manager for our Safe Haven program. Jacob brings more than 17 years of experience spanning community mental health, emergency psychiatric care at San Francisco General Hospital and Los Angeles County Dept. of Mental Health, with a focus on substance use, trauma, anxiety, and anger. He earned his master's degree in social work at UCLA and holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from UC Santa Cruz. Jacob is a certified clinical supervisor and maintains a private practice in Berkeley.
