Seth is a U.S. Air Force veteran who served eight years as a flight engineer on a combat search and rescue helicopter with the 129th Rescue Wing of the California Air National Guard, deploying to Iraq in 2018 and Kenya in 2021. After his military service, he spent more than a decade as an assistant district attorney with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, later serving as chief of staff to Oakland City Councilmember Dan Kalb and as executive director of The Crucible. Seth is currently an instructor of criminal law at City College of San Francisco. He holds an M.P.A. from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, and serves on the advisory boards of the Race, Policy and Law Academy and Oakland Technical High School.
