California's latest investment towards veteran services shows they're taking their commitment to serving our community seriously.

Ashley Tsao took 2nd place at the Hearst National Radio Championship for her feature on Bay Area veteran homelessness and Swords to Plowshares housing services.
Last month, the Hearst National Radio Championship was held here in San Francisco. Forty-seven qualified entrants participated in the competition and all participants were assigned to feature a story about the increasing cost of housing in the Bay Area. Ashley Tsao, one of the competition’s entrants reached out to us at Swords to Plowshares to feature our organization’s housing services for veterans and interviewed one of our veterans at Veterans Commons (150 Otis Street).
Ashley ended up taking Second Place for her radio feature on our housing services. You may check out her short-version and long-version of her story here: http://www.hearstawards.org/championship/radio-news/2017-18/2018-second-place-radio-winner/.
