Andrea Evans has worked extensively at the intersection of law and policy in the private, nonprofit and government sectors for over twenty five years. In particular, she has led efforts to promote human rights, immigrant rights, and innovative homelessness policies. She is currently on the Board of NextGen America, the largest youth voter mobilization organization in the country. She has previously served on San Francisco's Local Homeless Coordinating Board, the San Francisco Commission on the Status of Women, San Francisco Fire Commission, KIPP NorCal Public Schools, and San Francisco Day School.
