Swords to Plowshares is celebrating its 9th annual SHOUT! for Women Veterans and Service Members exhibition with an open call for women artists who have served or are currently serving in the military. The theme of the exhibition, Self and Transition, seeks to illuminate the experiences of women veterans and service members as they begin and end service. In what ways do they find strength and how do they build resiliency during these times of change? In what ways have they felt vulnerable or experienced difficulty adapting to civilian, family or military life? In what ways have their perceptions of self been altered or transformed by their service?
