Employment & Training

Since 1974 we’ve helped veterans in the San Francisco Bay Area address barriers to employment and secure employment after their military service. At Swords to Plowshares, veterans work one-on-one with our Employment & Training Program staff to address their individual needs, overcome obstacles to employment, and determine a long-term career plan. We provide job placement assistance and vocational training programs to help veterans translate their skills and train for new careers in high-growth, high-wage careers in the civilian sector.

  • Employer-Driven Curriculum (EDC) training

  • Dual customer service approach
  • Cultural competency training and accreditation for HR personnel

Who Qualifies?

Must be a veteran and have a DD214, Social Security card & valid state ID. Visit one of our Bay Area locations during drop-in hours or schedule an appointment.
