Part-time Program Monitor - De Montfort
Description

The part-time Program Monitor monitors the activities of residents of the De Montfort Residential Housing after regular program hours. The role responds to emergencies and engages in crisis intervention, completes appropriate documentation (incident reports) and works with staff to facilitate treatment and identify resident issues. The Overnight Program Monitor may also accompany and supervise residents during the evening meal.

Administrative tasks include maintaining the daily logbook and monitoring curfew and sign in. Other clerical duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervisions
  • Managing the program space after regular program hours
  • Crisis intervention and de-escalation
  • Documentation, i.e. incident reports and logbook entries
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact productively with residents and staff
  • Urinalysis
  • Quality assurance
  • Ability to drive clients to appointments as needed, and/or provide pick up delivery service as needed
  • Clerical duties, i.e. photo copying and assembling charts, etc.
  • Perform comparable related duties as required by management
  • Employee must be able to perform duties with what would be considered reasonable accommodation
Education
  • Associate’s degree, high school diploma, or GED considered with experience
Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working with “hard to serve”, substance abuse, and mental health clients, with at least one (1) year in a human service agency
  • Translatable military experience and skills may be alternatively substituted
Qualifications
  • Maintain good attendance record, including timely notification if unable to work shift
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
  • Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities and be comfortable working with an at-risk client population, including embracing the agency’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative
