Overnight Program Monitor - De Montfort

The Overnight Program Monitor’s provides services to chronically mentally ill veteran residents. The Overnight Program Monitor monitors the activities of residents after regular program hours, responds to emergencies, and completes appropriate documentation, including incident reports and log book entries, and working with clinical staff to facilitate treatment and identify resident issues.

  • Maintain good attendance record, including timely notification if unable to work shift
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Managing the program environment after regular program hours
  • Respond to emergencies which may include crisis Intervention and de-escalation
  • Documentation, i.e. incident reports and logbook entries
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact productively with residents and staff
  • Urinalysis
  • Clerical duties, i.e. photo copying and assembling charts, etc.
  • Perform comparable related duties as required by management
  • Employee must be able to perform functions of the position within what would be considered reasonable accommodation
  • Associate’s degree, high school diploma or GED considered with experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience working with “hard to serve”, substance abuse and mental health clients, with at least one (1) year in a human service agency
  • Translatable military experience and skills may be alternatively substituted
  • Maintain good attendance record including timely notification if unable to work shift
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Managing the program environment after regular program hours, and possibly covering weekend shifts
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs
  • Ability to sit for long periods
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of personalities and be comfortable working with an at-risk client population, including embracing the agency’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative
  • Crisis intervention, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to recognize relapse behavior
  • Strong clerical skills such as accurate documentation and assembling charts, etc.
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Basic computer skills, including electronic timecard data entry and email communication
