Evening Program Monitor - De Montfort
Description

The Evening Program Monitor monitors the activities of residents of the De Montfort Residential Housing after regular program hours. The role responds to emergencies and engages in crisis intervention, completes appropriate documentation (incident reports) and works with staff to facilitate treatment and identify resident issues. The Evening Program Monitor may also accompany and supervise residents during the evening meal. Administrative tasks include maintaining the daily log book and monitoring curfew and sign-in. Other clerical duties may be assigned. The Evening Program Monitor is under the supervision of the De Montfort Program Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain good attendance record, including timely notification if unable to work shift
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Manage the program environment after regular program hours; ensure safety of residents and the facility
  • Respond to emergencies utilizing crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
  • The ability to recognize relapse behavior
  • Maintain client confidentiality and uphold HIPAA regulations
  • Documentation to include incident reports, log book entries, and shift reports
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact productively with residents and staff
  • Conduct urinalysis testing and order new urinalysis supplies when needed
  • Document medications for incoming residents and store medications in monitor office when required
  • Attend monthly staff meetings
  • Assist with dinner meal preparation and food deliveries
  • Oversee and enforce daily resident chores
  • Assist clinical staff to set up and facilitate weekly community meeting
  • Ability to drive clients to appointments as needed
  • Clerical duties, i.e. photo copying and assembling charts, etc.
  • Attend relevant trainings as required
  • Perform comparable related duties as required by management
Education
  • Associate’s degree, high school diploma or GED considered with experience
Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with “hard to serve”, substance abuse and mental health clients, with at least one (1) year in a human service agency
  • Translatable military experience and skills may be alternatively substituted
Qualifications
  • Maintain good attendance record, including timely notification if unable to work shift
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have clean driving record
