Our Employment and Training department is proud to announce our latest initiative: the 100 Vets Campaign, geared to help 100 unemployed veterans find jobs within the next 100 days.
At Swords to Plowshares, we recognize that unemployment can be difficult any time of the year, even more so with the holidays coming up. To remedy this, we’re partnering with local retailers to help veterans find seasonal employment and earn a stable income.
Veterans who participate in and find employment during the 100 Vets Campaign will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card. While the majority of our partners have traditionally been retail stores, any industry placement will qualify veterans to receive a $100 Visa Gift Card—and we make a personal effort to assist veteran participants with their job search.
Please note the eligibility requirements: all participants must bring a DD214, a Social Security Card, and a valid state identification card or driver’s license.
With the holidays approaching and seasonal hiring at its peak, our 100 Vets campaign will run through February 10, 2016.
