Swords to Plowshares is a national model for veteran services and advocacy. We offer the most comprehensive continuum of care for homeless and low-income veterans in the country.
Our complete range of services make us unique: we provide direct services to more than 2,000 veterans every year with jobs, housing, mental health treatment and social services, and help disabled veterans access their benefits. We also work to promote pro-veteran policy and educate the public about veteran’s issues.
Swords to Plowshares relies on the support of individuals to sustain our critical services to homeless and low-income veterans. All contributions are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Benefits
Many veterans never apply for or receive the benefits they deserve. Swords to Plowshares is one of the few organizations in the country to provide free attorney representation, case management, and advocacy to veterans seeking benefits. Each year, we win hundreds of thousands of dollars in VA disability compensation and pension on behalf of our veteran clients.
The Legal Unit at Swords has successfully helped veterans of all ages and backgrounds access the VA benefits and medical care they have rightfully earned. The attorneys at Swords have been practicing VA law and representing veterans for decades and are some of the leading experts in the country.
