Word for Word Performing Arts Company will present You Know When the Men Are Gone from January 31 to February 24. This performance is based on the stories from Siobhan Fallon’s collection of interconnected stories about the wives and families of American soldiers deployed to Iraq show another experience of war – how those who are left behind to carry on survive their daily lives, as well as what it’s like for the wounded vet “returning to normal.”

The performances are directed by Joel Mullennix and by Amy Kossow. Active duty servicemembers and veterans can receive complimentary tickets and military family members can get tickets at half price.  This is an incredible opportunity for education and outreach – for us to show our appreciation for Bay Area veterans, and to make a connection between veterans and our audience.
