Share This Page Share This Page

On Veterans Day, Sunday, November 11, join Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi at the Presidio to honor Bay Area Veterans with a day of celebration, art, and service.

Co-sponsored by the Presidio Trust and Veterans Health Research Institute (NCIRE), “Veterans Day 2012: A Celebration through Service + Art” will offer opportunities to engage in community service activities in honor of military service. Student veterans from a local art institute will lead volunteers in the creation of military-service themed paintings to be donated to local veterans service centers. Attendees will also have the opportunities to create thank you cards for distribution to the local VA Medical Center, engage in park stewardship activities, and tour the newly renovated headquarters building of the Presidio Trust’s recently-launched National Center for Service & Innovative Leadership.
