The video is a 30-minute compilation of interviews with U.S. military veterans, detailing their experience with the outlook and actions of the military regarding Muslims and Islam.
The screening will be followed by a 90-minute discussion forum, led by a panel of representatives from the Afghan, Iraqi, academic and veteran communities, in hopes of starting and continuing a larger public conversation about this growing social problem.
When: Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm
The event is hosted on UC Berkeley campus in the Genetics and Plant Biology Building in room 100. It will be streamed live on the web at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/islamophobia-in-the-military. Please tune in if you cannot attend in person.
